BOOKING POLICY

We require a 50% group deposit at time of booking to hold the trip dates. Balance is due 60 days prior to departure date. Cancellation and refunds on trips are deposit amount less $100 (+5% GST) processing fee up to 60 days prior. Cancellation less than 60 days = no refunds. We suggest purchasing 3rd party travel insurance. North star Resort reserves the right to cancel trips due to unsafe conditions ( ie. Forest Fire etc.), at which time a full refund or transfer of date will be made.

 All trips will be booked on a first come first served basis. Please feel free to give us a call to discuss.

Unfortunately, our rates are subject to change due to volatile fuel costs and inflation. Hopefully this will settle out and become stable sooner than later. Rates will reflect fuel costs at time of trip.

 

CAMP

Trips are self guided with a host on site during your stay to assist with any problems or questions that may arise.

The camp holds up to 8 fishermen per week.

Camp consists of 3 cabins, shower house with hot shower and flush toilet, boat house and fish cleaning shack. We have generators for power and LED solar lighting in the buildings. Cabins have propane fridges, stoves, freezers and BBQs as well as all cooking gear. There is Starlink WIFI on site.

Guests bring their own fishing gear, groceries and beverages, or you can pre order groceries from Ft Smith or Yellowknife and they can be flown in with your group. Drinking water is not required as the lake water is better than anything you can get in a bottle. If you feel nervous about drinking from the lake bring a reusable water filter.

We have 16’ aluminium boats with15/20 hp outboards, fully equipped with fish finders, rod holders, casting platforms, padded seats and all necessary safety gear. We will send out a ‘what to bring’ list and Emergency Response Plan for your group to review after booking confirmation.

All fishing guests are required to purchase a Northwest Territories fishing licence online prior to arrival in Ft Smith or Yellowknife.
